We are pleased to share the publication of Nurturing Connections: Knowledge and Collective Action for Pan-Amazonian Sociobioeconomies and Financing for Conservation, a new volume in the IPÊ – Instituto de Pesquisas Ecológicas Technical Series.
This technical report systematizes the discussions and outcomes of the first workshop of the Power of Connections: Harvesting Lessons and Strengthening Coalitions for Amazonian Conservation initiative, held in May 2025 in Nazaré Paulista, Brazil.
The publication documents the workshop’s motivations, methodologies, lessons learned, and key recommendations for advancing Pan-Amazonian sociobioeconomies and conservation finance through transdisciplinary, intercultural, and collaborative approaches. It also explores the Amazon’s global significance while highlighting experiences, partnerships, innovations, challenges, and practical methodological tools that can inspire future initiatives connecting conservation, territorial development, and collective action across the region.
This report is intended for researchers, practitioners, Indigenous organizations, civil society, funders, and policymakers interested in strengthening collaborative approaches to Amazonian conservation.
